With our straight-to-the-point strategy we can obtain very good results via this program. Being patient and a personal program are important. Our team gets his training inside CIMD. Afterwards they work with the disable with whom they have the best contact and/or the disable who accepts and trusts them. Specialized volunteers give the training, feedback en do the follow up. We work in small groups or individual and the sessions are limited to maximal 1 1/2 hour, 2 or 3 times a week and are alternated with relaxing activities.

  • Disabled persons:
In the first place we aim for mental disabled persons, they are an easy target in a community and hide themselves. Under supervision, they can do small tasks in the housekeeping and we teach how to take care of themselves. For some of them our program results in earning a small income and they can support their family. With vocational training a physical disabled person feels useful again.

  • Developmental Disorders:
For the most part misunderstood inside a community and put at the same level as a person with mental problems. Momentarily we receive some good results and invlove their family in the program. We work with small groups or individual.

  • Learning problems:
Learning problems means extra attention and in a class of 30 (or more) students the teacher doesn't always has enough time and awareness for these children. The result is that these children don't go to school anymore. CIMD helps and our method of playful learning, individual approach en being patient has results.
